Water bath canning is the stove-top process of preserving higher acid foods, which makes the product shelf-stable for future use. Water-bath canning is often considered the beginner’s route to a life-long love of preserving and canning food, because the process is straight-forward and relatively quick. We will be water-bath canning two different recipes, and participants will be able to choose which items we will can based on a survey of choices beforehand. Due to the small class size (8 people -tops), we can have two canners going at the same time, and you’ll get to take home two different pint sized goodies for your pantry!
